Our therapists specialize in various areas including: Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and working with Children, Adolescents and Teens & Young Adults of Separated/Divorced Parents. We also provide Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS), which are community based services designed to help improve an individual’s level of functioning relating to mental illness.

Council Bluffs Location

KAMI GUZMAN, MS, LMHC  Kami is co-owner of Full Circle Therapy Center, LLC. She provides clinical supervision for temporary licensed professionals. Kami is a trainer and a provider of Parent Child Interaction Therapy. She has also taken additional trainings that has equipped her to understand attachment and trauma and the role it plays in individuals lives. Kami completed the Circle of Security Parenting training in 2011. She has traveled extensively to provide trainings and consultation to several different organizations this has included Haiti and UCLA. She sees a variety of clients that range in age from 2 years old to late adulthood. She sees families and couples also. Kami embodies joy and enthusiasm in the work she does at Full Circle with her clientele and at home with her large family of 7 kiddos.

ANGEL M. ALBERTSON, MS, LMHC   Angel M. Albertson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), currently licensed in Iowa. She is also certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors as an NCC (National Certified Counselor).  Prior to working at Full Circle Therapy, Angel worked as an In-Home Family Services provider and parenting expert in Iowa. She worked with Child Welfare cases involving high-risk children and families that dealt with a multitude of issues related to substance abuse, domestic violence, poverty, mental health issues, parenting, and child abuse. This experience made the change from provider to Mental Health Counselor a smooth transition and allowed her to utilize her experience to offer her current clients with a unique perspective of problem solving. Additionally, her nine years of work experience in Iowa has created a tremendous network of professionals and resources that ultimately makes it possible to provide the best resources and services for her clients.  Angel’s clinical experience has been in an outpatient setting and specialties include depression, anxiety, life transitions, behavior modification and children. She enjoys working with individuals, family, couples, and groups. Kani is a client centered therapist and finds it important to meet her clients where they are in their lives. Her mission as a provider is to empower her clients to find their own inner strength. She has several years of experience working in the mental health field treating individuals with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem/self image, relationship and marital conflict, life adjustments and transitions, and grief and loss. She specializes in trauma, is trained in CF-CBT and EMDR. Other therapeutic modalities include, but are not limited to Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Sand Tray therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strength Based, Circle of Security, and Structural Family Therapy. She is also trained in Seeking Safety, a group for women who have been affected by domestic violence, substance abuse, and sexual assault. Kani works in Council Bluffs as a school based therapist; she enjoys working with adolescence and believes in a non-traditional approach to connecting with the youth.    In her spare time Kani enjoys yoga and meditation, Jazzercise, creative and artistic activities, and spending time with her family and friends.

CAITLIN SZALAY, LMSW  Caity is a masters level social worker (LMSW) who has experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She spent time working as a behavioral specialist with youth ages 6-16 and also worked in a therapeutic high school. At the therapeutic high school she worked with youth on the autism spectrum as well as adolescents who had other mental health and behavioral problems. Additionally, Caity has worked in a program designed for prevention and recovery in early psychosis. There she worked with young adults from ages 16-32 who had just experienced their first psychotic episode. Caity has worked with individuals, families as well as groups. Caity also specializes in working with LGBTQ+ folks of all ages. Originally, Caity is from Georgia but moved to Massachusetts to complete her undergraduate and graduate degree at Smith College where she focused in Clinical Social Work. Caity provides trauma informed psychodynamic therapy with children, adolescents and adults. She has training in Eye Movement Desensitization Processing (EMDR), Open Dialogue, play therapy, family therapy, school social work, gender and sexuality therapy. Caity strives to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions.
