ANGEL M. ALBERTSON, MS, LMHC
Angel M. Albertson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), currently licensed in Iowa. She is also certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors as an NCC (National Certified Counselor).
Prior to working at Full Circle Therapy, Angel worked as an In-Home Family Services provider and parenting expert in Iowa. She worked with Child Welfare cases involving high-risk children and families that dealt with a multitude of issues related to substance abuse, domestic violence, poverty, mental health issues, parenting, and child abuse. This experience made the change from provider to Mental Health Counselor a smooth transition and allowed her to utilize her experience to offer her current clients with a unique perspective of problem solving. Additionally, her nine years of work experience in Iowa has created a tremendous network of professionals and resources that ultimately makes it possible to provide the best resources and services for her clients.
Angel’s clinical experience has been in an outpatient setting and specialties include depression, anxiety, life transitions, behavior modification and children. Angel is currently trained in PCIT (Parent-Child-Interaction Therapy), PCIT with Attachment, Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Object Relations Theory and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Angel M. Albertson has both her graduate and undergraduate degrees from Bellevue University with a MS degree in Clinical Counseling and a BS in Youth & Family Services.
